The key advantage of the JTO is its patented Floating Back that's unencumbered by metal posterior uprights to ensure that the cervothoracic patient will not introduce forces into the injured area upon rising or lowering to a seated or standing position.

Indications for Use
- Patients with poor skin assessment on admission to the ICU
- Patients you are unable to turn or remain supine for long periods of time due to presence of:
- neurological instability
- pulmonary instability
- hemodynamic instability
- pelvic fractures
- skeletal traction
- Patients who are not awake and alert within 24-48 hours after admission
- Patients with pre-existing skin injuries and/or lacerations to the head and / or neck
- Burn patients who must wear a collar
- Elective surgery patients desiring nighttime post-operative comfort
- Patients who have received high volume fluid resuscitation and show signs of skin breakdown such as edema and blistering
- Long term ventilator patients who cannot be clinically cleared by exam or radiographic clearance
- Diabetic or elderly patients with poor skin integrity
