Simply The Best Fracture Cam Boot |

I have a chip fracture in my foot and have been put in cast several times a year. My doctor finally put in in a cast boot because of me destroying the cast. The boot he gave me was not any better. I purchased the Darco Body Armor Boot and it has been the only boot cast to hold up to my lifestyle. Plain and simple, It''s the best boot on the market!!!

I''m a (Now disabled)FEMALE] Paramedic/fire fighter/medical Examiner/Smoke jumper/ Medical LT My injury was over 12 yrs ago, I''ve just had my 55th, major surgery, & when I''m NOT in a cast, I prefer THIS boot, to ALL other Cam-walkers. ALL medical boots with a seperate liner, & uprights on each side of the leg that are held in place with velcro straps, are difficult to fit, hard to put on, HOT to wear, the up-rights dig into your leg, the straps DON''T sit flush to the cam boot, & finally the velcroed uprights tear, & slide away from the liner VERY QUICKLY!! I can EASILY go through 2 of these boots per month, where as with this boot I only need to get a new one about every 15-18 months. The ONLY problems I''ve EVER had is that the buckles will break on occasion if they''re hit just right (This CANNOT be fixed,& the boot MUST be replaced). I''ve also had the tongue fracture & split as the boots gets older (about 15 Months of use). This decreases stability & requires the boot to be replaced. That being said, I''m VERY happy with the strength & integrity of this boot & while it is heavy, that only serves to preserve the muscle strength in your leg, & ensures the product will oulast ALL other products on the market. I''ve just ordered my 6th Body armor II boot, & will be picking it up tomorrow,(beleive me in 12+ yrs. & after 55 Major operations, I''ve become a Cam-walker expert)!! I think companies who make & sell these boots should use me as a product test subject, as I''ve used almost EVERY boot that''s been made in the past 12 yrs. I''ll also be required to wear a boot for the rest of my life, & therfore could give honest feedback about the products!!
