HOW TO?

SIZING

Notice at the bottom of your design there are arrows showing you the direction your skin needs to be wrapped ( >>> ). Be sure the skin is wrapped in this direction or it will not shrink correctly. Wrap the skin around the object to be decorated. Leave 1 - 1½ inches overlapping and trim off the excess. (Overlapping is recommended when skinning casts. It allows more shrinkage on re-applications.) Once sure of the length needed, trim the extra off with the scissors.

SECURING

Lay the designer skin flat. Remove the backing off the tape and apply it along the edge. Make sure half of the tape extends past the edge of the skin, so it will close the seam. With the scissors trim the extra tape that extends past the top and bottom of the skin. Rewrap the skin around the object and gently press the tape down, closing the seam. Run your finger along the seam making sure it is sealed completley. Rotate the skin so the seam is hidden.

SHRINKING

If shrinking over a cast, you may want to cover any exposed skin with a towel to protect it from the heat. Using small circular motions with your blow dryer, slowly shrink the film to form it to your object. Begin in the middle and work toward each end. Be sure to rotate the heat back and forth to make sure it isn't concentrated too much to one area. The skin will have a wrinkled appearance, but will smooth out with continued heat. When heating near the taped seam, run your finger across the seam, to keep it sealed. Repeat directions for next piece.

FOR BEST RESULTS: Be sure to have a hairdryer that has high heat. If your skins aren't shrinking very quickly or easily, your dryer's heat setting isn't very high. Also, be sure to shrink carefully by the tape seam. Using less heat, while running your finger over the seam will ensure a perfect seal.

WARNING: Choking Hazard. Children must have adult supervision when using this product.

CAUTION: When shrinking this product, cover skin areas for protection from concentrated heat.
