When a fiberglass cast padded with GORE PROCEL® Cast Liner gets wet, most of the water drains quickly out of the ends of your cast. The remaining moisture is warmed by body heat, becomes vapor and passes through the Cast Liner and fiberglass casting tape. No special drying is necessary.

My doctor or cast technician says they did not have enough Gore procel waterproof padding to complete the cast?
We base the amount on what the manufacture suggests. There is also the ability to add extra rolls to any kit. The above comment seems to happen most with the Gore Procel Long Arm Cast kit (LAC). Most technicians don't realize the GORE cast is thin. The LAC Procel kit comes with 1- FORM FIT castliner based upon size and 1 Roll of the gore procel liner. The form fit is generally used for the wrist and forearm. The single roll is then used to complete the cast to the elbow and up the arm. Please note if your technician does not do it that way you will not have enough to finish the cast. This will be the fault of the technician and not SuppliesCentral. Please let your technician know ahead of time. |
