A waterproof cast is simply made up of two parts.
Waterproof Padding and Fiberglass casting tape.
Both of those components are waterproof materials.
Our waterproof cast kits come with waterproof padding only.
However, you have the option to add fiberglass casting tape to the kit.
Each kit comes with 1-ft. of Saw Stop/Deflex
protective strip and rolls of padding.
This strip is used under the cast during cast removal.
This helps to prevent skin contact with the cast saw during removal.
*INFANT -5yrs only comes with 6" of deflex
Step#1. Choose the correct size/amounts.
Pediatric (Infant to 5yrs)-
Kit includes 1-roll 2" Waterproof Cast Padding.
Adult male (17 - up)-
Kit Includes 1-3" Roll & 2 rolls -2" Roll Waterproof Cast Padding.
Some patients want to add extra
waterproof padding.

Step#2.(OPTIONAL) Add Cast Tape to Order
Cast tape is the outer hard shell of the cast.
Some doctors offices only carry one or two color choices.
We have more color choices than your doctor may be able to provide.
You may want to add the casting tape to your kit.
Choose this add on if you want casting tape to come with your kit.
(Infant to 5yrs)- 2-2" rolls of casting tape.
(6 yrs-10 yrs) and (11- 14 yrs) - 3-2" rolls of casting tape.
(15-19 yrs) and (Adult male)- 1-3" Roll and 2-2" rolls of casting tape.
Then Choose a color choice for your casting tape.

My daughter broke her arm and was bummed that it happened during the summer. We bought this casting material and so glad we did. She is able to resume a normal, active, playful life. She not restricted at all. Beach, pool, shower...all good. Buy here as its much cheaper than your doctors office. My doctor even removed the old cast and put this one on. She just charged a $35 office visit. Worth it!
The setup was great, for my son. Great product & fast shipping, I did purchase the proper kit it was just not enough.

Waterproof cast saved our vacation!

My son broke his arm a week before we were to go on a Caribbean cruise. Thankfully his doctor told us about the Gore Procel waterproof cast padding. It allowed him to swim, shower and keep his arm dry after a few minutes of air drying. Without this cast we would not have had the opportunity to enjoy all the reasons to go on a Caribbean vacation.
Traditional casting measures are not waterproof and no matter how sweaty, how itchy, or how smelly your cast gets, you just have to grin and bear it until its time to get a new one. Being a marathon running having a water proof cast was very important to me because running makes for a sweaty cast. You can even use a mild soap to wash inside your cast, make sure you read the directions. I would recommend this product to everyone! Regardless of exercise, this product makes showering a breeze.

I was so happy to be able to take a bath with my cast on. It dried pretty fast too, about 20 mins and it completely dry. Don''t forget to add the tape, i did and had to order it next day air. I got hot pink! Took it to my doctor! He did not stock it.
