Exos Wrist Fracture Brace With Boa - Djo Global provides you and your patients with an adjustable, reformable, and lightweight solution to aid in the treatment of fractures and other injuries that require stabilization for carpal bone injuries such as lunate, pisiform, or triquetral fractures, scapholunate dislocations, triangular fibro-cartilage complex (TFCC) tears, radio-carpal ligament injuries, or minimally displaced or stable distal radius or distal styloid fractures. This brace is ideal for stable wrist fractures and to control wrist motion for other injuries that require stabilization. Sizes: XXS, XS, S available in 5 colors. Wrap the tape loosely around your hand to measure your size and compare it to the chart below. Upsizing is recommended if you measure between sizes or prefer a loose or roomy fit.
HEATING AND APPLICATION Open and unfold the brace. The proper heating temperature is 200°F (93°C). Heat the brace in the Exos™ oven for approximately 3-4 minutes or until the brace is pliable. The brace should not be too hot to handle comfortably. Ensure that the skin is dry before application. ? Fit brace on the patient. Remove slack in lace by tightening Boa® Knob. Caution: Do not tighten the brace fully until the brace has returned to room temperature otherwise indentations in plastic may occur. Mold brace into the desired position. Hook-and-loop fastener strap may be secured in the desired position. Once the brace has hardened, the Boa® Knob may be tightened to desired tension.

The first time applying the casting material, the 2 in rolls were setting before they ever even made it from the water to my arm. So it was difficult to apply, and could not get either roll to stick and form/set properly. All of which hurt my arm from the movenents.
However, the 3 roll was MUCH better and worked great. Only wish there were 2 rolls of the 3 vs the 2. Overall not a bad product, but am going to try out the orthoneal instead of repurchasing delta dry.

My son broke his thumb right before a family beach getaway. We were so glad to find this waterproof cast. He was able to play in the bay like normal, including swimming across. It took a few hours to dry completely, but it wasn’t uncomfortable while wet. This definitely made having a cast on at the end of Summer less of a bummer.

Best cast liner
I bought this and took it to my doctor. It took some convincing but she agreed to use the liner. I had already had the regularly-lined cast for a week and it was already really smelly and itchy. Then I switched to this liner. I had the ortho-tape liner on for 4 weeks in the middle of summer during which I exercised every day (think SWEAT) but the liner didn't smell, was rarely itchy, and dried very quickly!
