I am generally satisfied with the boot, but the two straps on the toe of the boot are a bit of a problem. The very small Velcro strip that attaches the buckle to the shell for these 2 is a problem, easily comes loose and tricky to reattach. Still trying to sort out the best method!
I got a boot form my doctor office and it was very uncomfortable but when I order the boot form this company my foot felt great even though I’m not suppose to put a lot of weight on my foot I’m still very happy to have this boot especially when I do start to walk.
I bought this to assist with right foot drop associated with my MS. I’ve been on Ocrevus for a year and half doing physical therapy and working out at the gym along the way. I’ve seen major improvements to my overall health just doing that. My physical therapist suggested that a brace could really spring board me forward as I go into the next six months. I hesitantly said “ok” and did the research and bought this. It shipped fast and was delivered quickly and the price, really, is great considering what you’d pay going through an organization. All that to be said I really love the thing. My endurance has gone up exponentially when it comes to chasing kids, laundry, work, etc etc. I’m less fatigued at the end of the day and I feel my right leg muscles we’ve been working on engaging better and working better overall. So I do believe it will have a great impact on where I hope and want to go physically.
I wear a size 12 shoe and bought a large after Much deliberation (O-121016). The large footplate goes from my heel and ends just before my toes at the metatarsal. So I still have flexibility with the toes and the plate supports but also gives enough to drive and use the accelerator pedal, for example. The toes do feel a bit cramped, but, unfortunately none of my shoes have an insole that can be removed. It’s not terribly uncomfortable and in time my shoes will stretch a bit. I have no issue with the large fitting directly into my size 12 shoes both length and width. The tricky part has been getting the foot brace and foot inside the shoe at the same time. Takes some practice. The instructions for getting it together has some medical lingo in it that may require some re-reading. Look carefully at the pictures and read the instructions before beginning and you’ll do fine.
