A short leg cast or below-the-knee cast can be applied with ease. The below-the-knee cast is often applied for distal tibial fractures, ankle fractures, dislocations of the foot, and serial | deformity casting. The ankle is set at a 90° angle.

I finally had my procedure on 11/9/2023. This product seems to be working very well. My Dr's office applied it for me with only a minor issue. The fiberglass cures almost too quickly using hot water. The instructions said to use hot water and it became difficult to work with one of the bandages after only a minute or so. But I will definitely use the product again.
I've had this brace once before, its great bec. you can wear it w/ sandals if you want! I'm not crazy about the fact that you have to provide your own glue, and the calf strap does NOT stay adhered to the velcro dots during use, I had to put super glue on them. I don't remember that issue when I had this brace in 2015. Otherwise, it works great! Lifts my foot really excellently.
