OrthoH2O Waterproof Cast Kit — Long Arm
Formerly OrthoNeal | Complete Waterproof Cast Material Kit | Fiberglass Cast Waterproof System
OrthoH2O is not a cast cover. It is the actual waterproof cast material used to build a waterproof long arm cast from the ground up. This complete waterproof cast kit includes a water-resistant tubular stockinette and fiberglass casting tape — everything your doctor or cast technician needs to apply a true swim cast (also called a fiberglass cast waterproof system) for the wrist, forearm, elbow, or full arm.
OrthoTape OrthoH2O is a hypoallergenic, thick synthetic waterproof cast stockinette that offers extraordinary comfort to patients. Manufactured from Aerosliver yarn, it is skin-irritation-free and water-repellent. The Quick-Wick Technology allows exposure to wet conditions, and its circular-knitted fiber drains water effortlessly. OrthoH2O Under-Pad contains silver (Ag), an antimicrobial ion that helps prevent bacterial growth and infections. With OrthoH2O, patients can shower, bathe, and participate in water-related activities without covering their casts.
Why Choose OrthoH2O Waterproof Cast Material?
True Waterproof Cast System — not a cover, not a sleeve. This is the actual waterproof cast material applied by your doctor.
Reduced Skin Irritation & Odor — antimicrobial fabric blend allows fast drying to prevent skin irritation and unpleasant odor.
Superior Comfort — soft, flexible underpad acts as an excellent protective layer between skin and fiberglass casting tape.
Breathable Design — unique fabric blend allows skin to breathe beneath the hard cast to reduce odor and discomfort.
Swim Cast Ready — patients can shower, bathe, and swim. Safe for salt water and chlorine — just flush with clean water after use.
Casting Tape Included — fiberglass casting tape is included in every OrthoH2O kit (unlike Delta Dry and AquaCast where tape is an additional cost).
Color Choice — choose your fiberglass cast tape color at checkout.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between OrthoH2O, AquaCast, and Delta Dry?
OrthoH2O — easy one-piece design with more breathability; does not pool water at the elbow or wrist. Casting tape is included.
AquaCast — has been around for a while; many doctors are familiar with it. AquaCast is a difficult application and tends to bunch up under the cast.
Delta Dry — lightweight material that dries fast and is easy to apply. However, the material tends to tear, slip, and slide under the cast.
Can you swim in salt water or chlorine with the cast? Yes. The cast is designed to handle both salt water and chlorine. Always remember to flush it with clean water afterward to remove the salt or chlorine.
Will my doctor put this on for me? It usually depends on the doctor. Some prefer traditional casts; others are happy to apply a waterproof cast. Ask around — let your doctor know you will be compliant with all instructions and take care of the waterproof cast. If you find a doctor willing to work with you, let us know — we are compiling a list to share with other patients.
Why don't doctors already carry this item? It may be that they need to become more familiar with it, or it could be due to office inventory space. Many insurances do not cover waterproof cast material, so it is often an out-of-pocket cost. You can always bring it to your appointment or have us ship it directly to their office.
How long does a waterproof cast take to dry? The cast can be dry to the touch in as little as 30–60 minutes. It should be completely dry within 12–24 hours. Give yourself one day's rest between wet periods to allow your skin to dry out. To dry faster, use a hair dryer on a low setting. To clean, use gentle soap. If odor develops, soak in a mixture of 1 cup hydrogen peroxide per 1 gallon of water, plus 1/3 cup rubbing alcohol to kill bacteria.
How fast can you ship? We ship same day by 2 PM EST. Upgrade your shipping at checkout. It is best to order 1–2 days before your doctor's appointment rather than the day of.
What comes with the waterproof cast kit? Every OrthoH2O waterproof cast kit includes: (1) tubular waterproof stockinette (OrthoNeal underpad), fiberglass casting tape in your choice of color, and gloves. Everything you need to build a waterproof cast is in the box.
*This product should be applied by a trained medical professional or for educational training. Always consult a doctor before use. A waterproof cast is an alternative to traditional casting materials that cannot get wet. If a traditional cast gets wet, it is ruined and must be removed immediately. A waterproof cast still requires a drying period between wet exposures — body heat and a hair dryer on a low setting help evaporate remaining moisture. Never apply fiberglass cast tape directly to the skin.
This goofy looking boot does the job very well. Healing before wasn’t happening, and using this to keep pressure off off the trouble point has led to rapid improvement.
