Fantastic boot! Super comfortable and love the air pump for additional ankle support. I actually put 20k steps on it the other day doing yard work and felt just fine. Highly recommended!

DeRoyal is a leading manufacturer of orthopedic braces, surgical products, and medical devices. With over 50 years of clinical expertise, DeRoyal products are trusted by healthcare professionals worldwide for their quality, innovation, and patient outcomes.
Patellofemoral pain syndrome (PFPS), commonly called runner's knee, occurs when the kneecap doesn't track properly in the femoral groove, causing pain at the front of the knee. The DeRoyal Concise Patella Stabilizer uses an adjustable C-shaped buttress to gently guide the kneecap back into proper alignment, reducing friction and anterior knee pain during walking, running, and stair climbing.
Patella subluxation is a partial displacement of the kneecap — it shifts out of the groove but returns on its own. A full dislocation means the kneecap completely leaves the groove and requires manual reduction. This brace is designed for subluxation and tracking disorders. If you have experienced a full dislocation, consult your orthopedic surgeon before using any brace.
Many patients use a patella stabilizer brace during the rehabilitation phase following realignment procedures such as MPFL reconstruction or tibial tubercle osteotomy (TTO). However, your surgeon or physical therapist should approve the specific brace and timing of use. This brace is not a substitute for a post-operative immobilizer prescribed immediately after surgery.
Choose Neoprene if you need maximum compression, therapeutic warmth, or are in a rehabilitation or recovery phase. Choose Tri-Tex if you are active, exercise regularly, live in a warm climate, or need to wear the brace for extended periods — its moisture-wicking fabric keeps you cooler and more comfortable during high-activity use.
Wear duration depends on your condition and activity level. Most patients wear a patella stabilizer during activities that aggravate symptoms — typically 2–8 hours per day. Avoid wearing the brace while sleeping unless specifically directed by your physician. Remove and inspect the skin periodically to check for irritation, especially with neoprene in warm conditions.
