Ankle Stirrup Fiberglass Splint Kit
Use: Ankle Strain/Sprain, Shin Splint/Hair Line Fracture.
Everything you need in a Fiberglass splint kit to make a Stirrup U-Shape Sprained Ankle Splint. Our OrthoTape Padded Synthetic Pre-Cut Splint material is a unique, quick-setting splint system that already has the padding built in. No need to add extra padding or stockinette to make the splintRemoveve from the pouch, wet, trim, and form around the patient's limb. Then apply our self-adhesive bandages included with your kit to hold the splint in place. Allow 5-7 minutes for the splint to set and solidify.
The stirrup splint prevents inward and outward movement at the ankle (side to side)(inversion and eversion), and the posterior ankle splint keeps the ankle at a 90-degree angle (top to bottom). A posterior ankle splint goes on the back of the leg, whereas a stirrup ankle splint fits around the sides of the lower legs and the foot like a stirrup. Sometimes the posterior splint and stirrup splint are applied together for even more support.
I was very please with the purchase of the fiberglass thumb splint, it works well for my son. after i finally figured out how to use it, getting to form to his thumb and arm was a breeze.

Product was delivered quickly and arrived exactly as expected. It’s a top quality product, though it’s not needed I would personally add another roll of padding and appropriate sized stockinette for added comfort.
It worked awesome just as long as you put it on and then you spray the water on it. It’s easy to apply. I had to wear mine for two months. It never started smelling. It’s easy to wash it dried really fast. This product is worth every penny.
