Important Fit Tip: boots fit a size range (not an exact shoe fit)
One of the most common issues with any medical boot is the “range sizing” problem. These boots are sized in shoe-size ranges to allow room for swelling and thicker socks/dressings. If you’re at the low end of the range (example: Women’s 6 in a Women’s 6–8 boot), the boot can feel roomier than a shoe. If you’re at the top end of the range, it will feel closer to “perfect.”
- Seat your heel fully back before tightening straps.
- Tighten straps evenly (don’t crank the top strap first).
- Use the air bladders to take up extra volume (avoid over-inflation).
- If between sizes: minimal swelling / narrow foot → smaller may feel more secure; swelling/dressings → stay in range or size up.
