Sizing & How to Measure
Important sizing note: braces use size ranges, not an exact "shoe-like" fit. If you measure near the top of a range, the brace will feel closer/tighter; if you measure near the bottom of a range, it will feel roomier. Upsize if you are between sizes or prefer a looser fit (it can be molded for comfort).
- Wrap a soft tape measure loosely around the hand (per the measuring diagram) to get the circumference.
- Compare your measurement to the chart below.
- If you are between sizes, choose the larger size.
Hand Circumference
5¾" to < 6½"

Hand Circumference
6½" to < 7¼"
Tip: If swelling is expected, a slightly roomier fit is often more comfortable. The brace can be molded by a clinician for better contour.

Important: EXOS braces are intended to be fitted and remolded by trained medical professionals. Heating/molding performed outside medical guidance may affect fit, safety, and warranty coverage. Many have successfully heated these items on their own using a home oven and wrapping the brace in a damp towel, but we cannot cover this under warranty if it is not done by a trained medical professional.
Clinician heating notes (manufacturer guidance):
- Heat to 200°F (93°C) for ~3–4 minutes (until pliable, not too hot to handle).
- Do not fully tighten BOA until brace returns to room temperature (helps prevent indentations).
- Do not overtighten—excessive pressure can irritate skin.
