At the beginning of May 2026 I was in a motorcycle accident and fractured my left wrist. I had already planned on a high altitude mountaineering trip in the Washington North Cascades and assumed that would have to cancel that climbing trip after my accident. I rejoined the team about a month after the accident since my rehab and recovery was going well and planned on doing the climb with a wrist brace since my wrist is still healing. I decided to do some research on removable casts and found this product online. The price wasn't cheap but the reviews were good so I purchased it and actually used it for a successful summit of ElDorado peak in Washington state. I have summited many high altitude peaks and three Cascade stratovolcanoes in the Pacific Northwest but this trip was one of the harder ones that I've ever done. It involved glacial travel on rope teams with ice axes and 45° slopes but the cast had more stability and rigidity than I expected and I could not have asked for a better solution for my needs. Absolutely recommend this product to anybody who needs a removable cast that offers the strength, stability, support, and rigidity of a traditional cast without the bulkiness.

I had to order a medium & I asked for a return label to send back the small. I did the questionnaire & it said I should get the label within 24-48 hours. I still have not received it. Can you check for me please? Thanks

I love this brace. Unfortunately it was too small and I had to go the next size up.
They do note that they want a little small and you might wanna size up, but I was on the small side of the size I ordered and it was still too tight. Just FYI.

This product has been great. I put it in the oven for a few minutes and then gently formed around my wrist etc. it’s great to be able to tighten or loosen it a little bit depending on weather I’m working or sleeping.
Also, ortho tape is a small business. The guy who owns it was so helpful and prevented me from making an ordering error. I couldn’t be happier with the service or the product.

Severe wrist sprain since mid-November 2024 with re-injury a month ago. Realized the cheap department store brace wasn't cutting it, and ordered a higher end athletic brace. However, due to the location of the injury, the athletic brace wasn't providing full immobilization of the affected joint during certain work activities, so I looked into the BOA brace. Was able to cheat and mold it using my cooking oven, that worked just fine. It's very comfortable and provides almost total immobilization of the joint, allowing for healing. I use it during strenuous lifting at work and dry out the sweat moisture with a fan when I get home. Now, this isn't a mark against this brace, because it's the nature of its design to prevent wrist joint movement, but it's a tad difficult to grip steering wheels when driving. Keep that in mind. Highly recommended!

Was researching waterproof casts for my wrist fracture and came across this and pre-emptively ordered prior to my casting appt. Disclaimer, I am a health care provider and what I did may not be appropriate for others. I am a physician, sports enthusiast, and mother/wife who cooks a lot. After we discussed, I was put in an Exos Short Arm Fracture Brace w/ Open Thumb (it is longer than this one) from my Ortho provider for a non-displaced stable distal radius fracture. Since I had already ordered this, I kept it, heated it in my oven and molded it. After first 2+ weeks, I began using this one when at home due to being easier to use although the one I had placed at my ortho provided more stability and my wrist felt safer in the longer one because it prohibits supination/pronation more, but as my wrist healed, that wasn't as necessary. I am very happy I purchased this, and once I am cleared from a cast by my ortho provider, will continue to use this shorter one for support when active. I did have to obtain undersleeves because otherwise it was too uncomfortable. Once I did that, it was perfect. And I could replace and wash them as needed. I strongly recommend an undersleeve.

costs 3x more than the mostly useless alternatives, but works 10x better! durable and shapeable, and functionally much more stabilizing than any other brace I've ever used.

This is so much better than a cast! Heating up was simple. Used a standard oven set at 300, put on backing sheet for 2 minutes and removed. Was incredible how soft and easy to shape to my daughter’s arm.
