OrthoTape 6" Synthetic Tubular Cast Stockinette — 10-Foot Section
The OrthoTape 6" Synthetic Tubular Cast Stockinette is a soft, breathable, seamless tubular stockinette used as the first layer under orthopedic casts and splints. The 10-foot section is ideal for individual patient use or clinics that prefer pre-measured lengths over cutting from a full roll. Applied directly over the skin before cast padding and fiberglass or plaster tape, it protects the skin and provides a smooth, comfortable base layer.

How to Apply Cast Stockinette
- Cut to length — allow 2–3 inches extra on each end to fold back over the cast edges
- Apply stockinette — slip over the limb, centering it over the cast area
- Apply cast padding — wrap padding over the stockinette
- Apply cast tape — wrap fiberglass or plaster tape over the padding
- Fold back edges — fold the stockinette ends back over the cast edges for a clean, comfortable finish
Must be applied by a trained orthopedic technician, physician, or casting staff.

Funny story got this idea years ago . Then just remembered it again. I fish full time. I needed some thing to protect my investments. I made some fishing poles cases. They work fantastic. Also work for rifle cases. There so many way of using these tube. MY climbing ropes. Thank you again for your product. Stormin norman.

I ordered the 3” size tubular under-sleeve but it seemed larger, more like 4” instead. I cut down a piece to use underneath my thumb/wrist cast but it bunched up. It was too late to reorder it in a smaller size because I don’t need to wear the removable cast much longer. It’s very soft material and the cost is very reasonable. Maybe I will think of something to use it for one day.

This is a really terrible product. Completely unusable. Tried cutting it so that it would fit over my neck collar and the entire thing peeled and disintegrated. What a mess!
I am so sorry this did not work for you. The product will not stretch that far to go over the head and be used for the neck. It is only a 3-inch stockinette, so it is more for the arm or leg of a smaller adult. We do sell larger sizes, such as 6-inch and 8-inch stockinette.

I am so thankful to find this product on line. I had surgery and cannot drive. The surgeons office didn’t give me enough of these stockinette and with this product I now have plenty and can have a clean one every day!!

Hi, There. I am sorry this product did not work for you. You may want to try the 3 inch size as 4 inch is much larger in size. As for the shipping cost. that is the minumum charge USPS has on small packages. You cannot ship anything cheaper than at that cost. USPS charges for the delivery.
