Clinical Heating Protocol (Manufacturer Guidance)
- Preheat the EXOS oven to 200°F (93°C) before inserting the brace.
- Place the EXOS brace into the oven for approximately 3–4 minutes, or until the shell becomes pliable.
- Remove the brace carefully — it will be warm but should not be too hot to handle with proper technique.
- Mold the brace to the patient's limb while pliable, then allow to cool to room temperature before tightening the BOA closure.
- Do not overtighten the BOA dial until the brace has fully cooled to prevent pressure indentations.
- Remolding can be repeated as needed throughout the treatment period.
