Description

OrthoTape 8" Synthetic Cast Stockinette — Full Roll (25 Yards)

The OrthoTape 8" Synthetic Cast Stockinette Full Roll is a 25-yard bulk roll of wide-width, soft, breathable, seamless tubular stockinette — the first layer applied under orthopedic casts and splints. The 8-inch width is designed for adult long leg casts, hip spica casts, and large-limb applications. The full 25-yard roll is ideal for high-volume clinics that cut stockinette to length per patient, offering the lowest per-patient cost for large-limb casting.

How to Apply Cast Stockinette

  1. Cut to length — allow 2–3 inches extra on each end to fold back over the cast edges
  2. Apply stockinette — slip over the limb, centering it over the cast area
  3. Apply cast padding — wrap padding over the stockinette
  4. Apply cast tape — wrap fiberglass or plaster tape over the padding
  5. Fold back edges — fold the stockinette ends back over the cast edges for a clean, comfortable finish

Must be applied by a trained orthopedic technician, physician, or casting staff.
