Össur Rebound Foot Up AFO Drop Foot Brace – Dynamic Dorsiflexion Support
The Össur Rebound Foot Up AFO is a lightweight ankle-foot orthosis (AFO) that provides dynamic support for drop foot and related disorders requiring dorsiflexion assistance. The elastic strap connects to the shoe via a transparent plastic inlay (between shoelaces) or a nut-and-bolt through the eyelets, allowing medial or lateral positioning to individualize support. The smart clamp ankle cuff holds securely in place and enables one-handed donning and doffing.
What is Foot Drop?
Foot drop (sometimes called drop foot) is difficulty lifting the front part of the foot, often caused by injury to the peroneal nerve, neurological conditions (MS, ALS, stroke), or muscular disorders. It is not a disease itself but a sign of an underlying condition. The Rebound Foot Up AFO supports the ankle during the swing phase of walking to prevent the foot from dragging.
